Time to Read

I need your help! This summer I have the blessing/curse of having extra time on my hands before starting an insanely intense Master's program. Everyone in the program tells me to get my fill of pleasure reading now, but I am stumped as to where to start! What is YOUR FAVORITE BOOK???

Just one? Impossible.
-1984
-The Things They Carried
-Daughter of the Forest (surprisingly good)
-Harry Potter
-The China Study (non fiction)
-Gilead
-anything by Kurt Vonnegut

Small sample. I LOVE books. Happy reading!

Harry Potter a must. If you like church fiction, try the Children of the Promise Series and/or Anita Stansfield's books. I have all of these. You may come borrow them anytime. Or if you like that Medical mystery one its called Mindbend and its by Robin Cook, but I don't own that one though. There are some good Christian books written by the Thoene's about the Jews during WWII. Yeah, just a few. Me too! Hope you enjoy them!

Marina!!! I miss you! Looks like you guys have had a fun summer with lots of vacations!!
I just finished reading Stephenie Meyer's The Host--I dont know if you have read any of the Twilight series by her (the 4th book just came out, btw)...I like The Host better personally.
There is a series by Scott Westerfeld and the first book is called Uglies...Its a utopian society kind of story, but I enjoyed the first one, and I am planning on reading all four (Pretties, Specials, and Extras are the other three). I would like to read some of his other stuff too.
Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl is always a good one...makes you think--concentration camp story.
I have been told to read the Scarlet Pimpernell a few times by different people, but I havent read it yet.
Happy reading! Let me know if you find any others that are worth the time :)
